The Farmhouse
Agriturismo Sa Prantaxia is an authentic oasis of pleasure located in the heart of the countryside in Pula, just a few steps from the Bay of Agumu and only a 5-minute drive from the renowned beach of Nora.
Opened in 2004, it’s now a unique place where you can discover the oldest flavors and traditions of the island.
It also features a pig farm that ensures the production of an excellent local “maialino”, a small vineyard, and an organic vegetable garden.
Our History
These lands have belonged to our family for over 150 years.
The name, in particular, “Sa Prantaxia” (which means “the plantation”), is a tribute to our great-grandmother Doloretta, who owned the estate. Widowed at a very young age, she opened the farm in the early 1900s, dedicating herself with great passion to growing vegetables and cultivating vines. She affectionately called the small vineyard “prantaxedda,” to which she dedicated great care.
Upon her death, the farm was passed on to her daughter Maria, who continued it together with her husband Carlo. Over the years, the farm grew with the addition of a small pig farm.
In the late 1990s, the property was inherited by Ignazio and Silvia, who, in the early 2000s, opened the doors to the outside world, transforming it into the magical place we find today. The old farmhouse has been completely renovated, and now welcomes our guests during long summer evenings, surrounded by the greenery of the beautiful garden and just a few steps from the vegetable garden.
The Restaurant
The pride of the farm, it offers genuine and authentic cuisine with carefully selected products and the freshest ingredients, the result of work carried out with passion and pride for generations.
The menu follows and adapts to the seasons, presenting a perfect blend of tradition and authenticity. It offers a tasting of appetizers (featuring home-produced cured meats and local cheeses), a duo of first courses, grilled “maialino”, fresh seasonal vegetables and a full-bodied red wine.
To complete the culinary offering, there are traditional homemade desserts and locally produced liqueurs.
